Detecting truncated evidence and replaying 0.5 decisions
Kognita alpha now detects truncated evidence exports and a missing head checkpoint, and replays 0.5 decisions including delegations and gateway checks.
Context
Truncation was not detected, and replay broke for 0.5 decisions with delegations and gateway admission checks.
Decision
- Export verification checks the advertised event count and head hash.
- Chain verification fails when the head checkpoint is missing.
- Replay loads child delegations and assurance levels, and restores gateway admission checks.
Why
A tampered authority payload raises a chain break rather than replaying quietly.
Outcome
Successful gateway decisions now replay.
Open
Append-only triggers are SQLite-only; other dialects rely on verification.
Every new feature needs a replay test, or the audit trail silently rots.
